What does Project Sunlight Cover?
Covers every state agency, department, division, office and board (including SUNY & CUNY).
What does Project Sunlight Require?
The law requires that SUNY (Buffalo State and other) employees who are decision makers or decision advisors report all substantive “appearances” with non-government entities (both individuals and firms) to an on-line searchable database within five days of the appearance IF the cost of the procurement / contract could be more than $25,000; If the value is unknown, err on the side of reporting.
You only report appearances related to the:

Includes, but is not limited to: President, President’s Cabinet, Department Chairs, Associate VPs, Deans, Directors, Procurement Management.

Where do you send your meeting information?
The Procurement Services office will maintain the Project Sunlight Database for the campus. Please e-mail your meeting information to Steve Olsen firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include “Project Sunlight Entry” in your subject line.
